This hat is worked in an unusual stitch pattern with an amazing cushy texture. It is created by reverse engineering a factory knit hat.
Difficult? Not so much as it may look. It’s all about one special stitch, the k4below a.k.a. tuck stitch.
Once you’ve mastered that stitch, this hat is a lot of fun to knit. At least, if you don’t mind purling!

NB: last picture shows hat inside out. Looks great as well!

NB: The hat in the pattern has a brim in 1x1 ribbing. The original brim is worked in 2x2 ribbing.

Would you like to knit this hat in 3 colors of yarn? I have added a separate pattern for a tricolor version with adapted charts and instructions.
