This is an 8 page pdf file (illustrated) of pattern instructions to make this stunning striped Shawl with lacy side panels. Great as warm wrap for cold nights at home or for work and school. There are many photos throughout the pattern to explain finishing techniques so that the beginner and experienced alike will be able to complete this project with ease.

Finished Dimensions (Rectangle):
65” long by 23” wide

The detachable button is made with a shank button that rests in a crochet base that can be threaded through the layers of the shawl and secured. A photo tutorial shows how to do this. You can use the button closure to keep the shawl in place like a cowl or hood. This method can be used on other crocheted shawls so you will always have this handy little skill for all your future projects.

The Herringbone Double Stitch is used in this pattern and it’s a variation of the Double Crochet stitch. There is a photo tutorial to show you how to make this stitch. If you can double crochet then you should not have any problem making this shawl.
