This pattern is available for free.

This is a free pattern that uses JC Rennie Miniballs as the contrast and one 50g ball of the Supersoft Cashmere 4ply or Lambswool 4ply, or two balls of the Unique Shetland 4ply yarn as the main colour. This shawl is top down starting with a garter stitch tab which is fully explained. It contains stripes, mesh lace and slipped stitches. You will have plenty left of three of the contrasts but need slightly more than one miniball (approx 50m per miniball) of the first contrast. There is an alternative stripe sequence which allows you to do the shawl with just 4 miniballs whilst maintaining the symmetry. There are 4 stitches increased on every right side row and 2 stitches increased on every wrong side row. The wrong side rows for the mesh lace and knitted not purled.
