Meet Ollie my cute little octopus. Ollie is a perfect friend to have around, but what octopus isn’t? He is very loving and playful especially at play time. His favorite thing to do is Swimming around with his best friend playing explorer around the yard. He also loves story time, but beware he can get hyper. Over all love Ollie and he will love you twice as much back.

Level: Intermediate for amigurumi

In order for you to follow this pattern’s instructions properly and have your attempt at recreating what I have designed turn out anything similar to the reference picture I have displayed, you are expected to have at least a basic knowledge of how to crochet amigurumi.

Techniques you should know are…
Magic Circle (MC)
Single crochet (Sc)
Half Double crochet (Hdc)
Double crochet (Dc)
Triple Double crochet (Tdc)
Chain stitch (Ch)
Increasing (Inc) or (2Sc)
Decreasing (Dec) or (sc2tog)
Slip Stitch (Sl St)
and basic sewing for attaching pieces together.

SIZE

If made using medium weight yarn and corresponding hook size you can expect him to be about 8.5 inches tall from bottom of body to top of head. Width - 33 inches from one tentacle tip to another tentacle tip. Of course this also dependents on how tightly/loosely you crochet.
