gauge is not important for this pattern. The outcome may be either larger or smaller depending on your gauge. You will need to know how to work in the round as well as how to single crochet and slip stitch. You will need 2 pom poms as well as some jewlery wire in whatever gauge you would like the whiskers to be. Also have a hot glue gun handy as well as either safety eyes or black fabric paint.
