Octosocks are a pair of stranded color work socks knit
from the cuff down, in two colors of your choosing. The
heel used in the pattern is a short-row heel, but of course
you are free to replace this with any heel that works best
for you.

I have included stitch and row estimations for
three different sizes, but more advanced sock knitters can
of course modify as they go to create a custom fit.

Stranded color work is, by nature, tighter than plain stockinette. For this reason, please work the gauge swatch in a simple color work design (there is a simple design included in the pattern) so that you can be sure your socks end up the correct size.

You will also need to be able to wrap stitches as you go. While this is not necessary for all stranded color work, it is necessary for this pattern, since there are large blocks of color in the pattern, and without wrapping the floats on the inside would be too large and loose.
