Odalie is a romantic shawl inspired by the flapper era of the 20s. Bundled stitches, with or without sparkling beads to highlight, spread across the body of this shallow, triangular shawl. The edging uses dropped stitches to create a delicate, lacey effect. A unique design but easy to make (not a chart in sight!), Odalie will help you shine whether you’re in your favorite party dress or a t-shirt and jeans.
4/18/15: Join the official Odalie Knit-Along in my group, Toby Roxane Designs!
You’ll need approximately 400 yds (366 m) of fingering weight yarn for your Main Color, and approximately 350 yds (320 m) of fingering weight yarn for your Contrasting Color.
Blue and white sample (with beads) is shown in Fiberstory FAVE Sock in the colorway “Daybreak” (Main Color) and Canon Hand Dyes Charles Sock Yarn in the colorway “Earl of Grantham” (Contrasting Color).
4/11/15: Please note that Row 3 under “Begin main pattern stitch..” should read “K2, yo, knit to m, m1R, slm, k1, slm, m1L, knit to last 2 sts, yo, k2.”
I’ll be sending out a pattern update shortly. Apologies!!
