The idea for a knitted rag rug came to me as I was contemplating a way to use up the many balls of yarn scraps I had accumulated over the years. Each colorway was so beautiful I could not bear to part with it, no matter how small the amount. The beauty of a knitted rag rug is that the lengths of yarn scraps do no matter. As you reach the end of a scrap, just start knitting with another scrap and see how beautifully the fabric subtly changes. The colorways will blend together in ways that you could not imagine.

Skill Level: Easy/Moderate. Beginning crochet skills are also necessary, however, the pattern provides a photograph tutorial to help you with this.
