Designed this hat for my son for Pi Day - 2008. It is a toque-style so does not cover your ears unless you are an Elf or a Vulcan, in which case it will cover your ear tips!

You need 2 balls - 1 full ball of the Main Color and half a ball of the contrasting - I easily got 2 hats from 3 balls using the same contrasting color for each.

Add a couple of rows before and after the numbers if you want more ear coverage.
