This shawl was designed for an easy, straightforward knit while on a road trip holiday to Wales. It is an ideal choice for beginner lace knitters wishing to tackle their first lace shawl project or for a quick last minute gift.

The shawl is triangular construction knit from the top down. It can be knit from one generous skein of sock yarn and as the border can be started at the end of any 20-row repeat, the size can easily be adjusted.

The instructions include written instructions, charted instructions and a checklist version with each row detailed to check off as you go (very satisfying!).

It would also work for other weights of yarn such as lace weight or something heavier however you will need to adjust your needle size and yardage according to the yarn.
