This sweet shopper incorporates a couple of the more challenging crochet techniques – Tunisian crochet and colourwork. The pretty project is ideal for seasoned hooksters who are keen to learn something new and hone their skills.
With the summery swan silhouette in this design and the accent of warm pink, Tunisian crochet adds a really tantalising texture to the surface, and once you’ve got your head around the basic idea, it isn’t too taxing.

Bag is worked from bottom up in Tss and seamed at the back. Base is then worked in standard dc and sewn on. handles are worked in Tss and attached to bag. in Tunisian crochet, a row is made up of a forward and a return pass. standard Forward and return Pass for Tunisian simple stitch are described below; these make up all the pattern rows except the first row, which is explained in the pattern.
