My main inspiration for this pattern stemmed from the need to keep snowflakes off the lenses of my newly prescribed eyeglasses. So thanks to needing glasses, I understood the practicality of a brimmed hat and designed this lid. The sweeping main cable reminded me of a sweet line of figure 8’s on a grand day of power skiing. Hence the name Off Piste.
