This wonderfully festive cowl is all about taking the butterfly stitch down Christmas lane. The featured cowl was done with holding two strands of fingering together and working two colors, every other round, to get those green trees to pop. This beauty is knitted in the round on size US7 16-inch circular needles. The gauge is 5 stitches per inch.
You will need:
• 2 skeins/colors of Yarnitoli DK (231 yds each) or for holding two strands of fingering together like the featured cowl: 3 skeins of Yarnitoli Sock (400 yards each) 2 skeins for the master color and one skein for the contrasting/tree color.
• Size US7 16-inch circular needle
• Size US7 (or 8) DPN’s
• Up to 65 size 6 glass beads (optional) for sizes: 40(45, 50, 55, 60, 65). This based on 5 Christmas tree rounds.
• Stranding needle
• Darning needle
