Designed for my nephew Oisín (pronounced Ush-een). Oisín was one of the mythological band of Irish soldiers na Fianna, best known for falling in love with Niamh and being taken away to Tír na nÓg, the land of youth.

A simple stranded baby beanie. The strands are only 1 stitch long and with only 4 stranded rows it would be ideal for a first try at colourwork knitting.

Perfect for using up leftover sock yarn. Requires only 12g - 35g of main colour and 4g - 10g of contrast colour.

Circumference is 11 (12, 13, 14, 15½, 16½, 17½, 19) inches (not stretched).
Allowing for 1-2 inches of negative ease, the hat should fit heads from 13 - 21 inches.
Estimated sizes are: preemie, newborn, 0-3 months, 3-6 months, 6-12 months, 12-18 months,
toddler and child. Total height 5 - 8 inches.
These are generous sizes, ideally measure the head and minus 1” for ease.
