The large and small size bags are identical, except that the large bag is knit with 2 strands held together.

The large tote size uses size 13 needles, and the larger amount of yarn. The gauge given above is for the large tote, before felting.

The small handbag sizes uses size 7 needles, and the smaller amount of yarn.

A couple of people have asked about the handles used on these bags. They are rolled leather handles made by GraysonE. They’re kind of expensive, but they’re really beautiful. The tote bag uses the large handle, about 25” long. The smaller bag uses the small handle, about 13” long. They come in a variety of colors, and you can buy them online.
