This is a chunky ombre blanket that works up ridiculously quickly so you will be sure to be snuggling under it in no time.

It’s made with four strands of DK yarn held together, and a 15 mm hook.

The strands change gradually across the blanket to create the ombre effect.

It works great in either bold or subtle colours. You could go wild with some crazy combinations or choose something more refined and neutral. Either way will look great.

The size of the blanket ensures that with five 100 g balls of DK yarn in each of two colours, you should have sufficient yarn to make the blanket and enough left over to add some tassles as a finishing touch.

The pattern has been tested to work with Stylecraft Speical DK and Paintbox Simply DK but would mostly likely work with other similar DK yarns.

This is an easy pattern suitable for beginners and uses the V-stitch.

It is written in UK crochet terms but includes instructions for converting to US terms (simply replacing tr with dc).
