From Holiday Knits:

This stocking, reminiscent of rustic Icelandic sweaters, is charming and unaffected.  With a traditional snowflake pattern at its center, it will make a festive yet gentle addition to your mantel  The colorwork in this stocking is sort of a combination of intarsia and Fair Isle.  As in intarsia, the color only happens in one section of the piece, but it can be worked as Fair Isle in that area, floating the unused background color behind the motif, so you only need one ball for each color across the row.

Note on Yardage:  Yardage on Manos varies--if yarn is thick you may need two skeins of main color and one of contrast, but if it is thin you may only need one skein of each.
