This listing is for the pattern of the pictured Doll “Ollie”, his Overalls, his Pants in two lengths, Scarf and Sweater, a Laurel Lane design. This adorable, huggable Doll stands 16” and sits 10” . Using Bulky Yarn, makes the creation go really fast. I used three different weights of yarn in order to give dimension and texture to particular areas of the design. You may choose your own weights, gauge isn’t important as long as you create a fabric that is fairly tight and your stuffing doesn’t fall out. It’s a great way to “de-stash”. Smaller and larger sizes may be achieved by changing needle sizes as well as yarn.

He was a lot of fun to create, the additional possibilities are endless.

This kind of hand made doll is called amigurumi. Amigurumi is the Japanese art of crochet or knit dolls. A combination of the Japanese words ami, meaning crocheted or knitted, and nuigurumi, meaning stuffed doll.
