Ollie is worked all in one piece with no sewing, beginning at the bottom of the head. The head has purl ridges where you will later pick up sts to work the tentacles, neck skirt, and blanket. A link to a video tutorial is included.

The pattern can be worked completely using the magic loop method. However, you can easily switch to dpns for small amounts of sts, such as on the tentacles. If you have a variety of lengths of circular needles, you may also choose to switch to regular circular knitting on the blanket.

Ollie was originally created for a nautical nursery for a baby boy due in 10/2016. Testers made some colorful and fun alternate yarn choices (think Hank from Finding Dory!)

Pattern has been tech edited and test knit.
