Ombra is the Italian word for “shade”, “shadow”.
This beautiful stranded cowl is the perfect project for people who want to knit a project that never gets boring.

You can also use the simple 4-stitch pattern for any project to add a gradual transition between two colors.

The finished (blocked) size is about 22” around. & 10.5” tall.

Notes
Based on feedback from people who made the cowl I added some notes here:

Size
Some people found the cowl to be too narrow and long. I intended the finished cowl to be snug around the neck and long enough to stay up high when draping. Please check the above size against your neck and decide if you need to add repeats/remove rows.

Edge Curling
As with any stockinette stitch there is a possibility for curling. I managed to block all of my Ombra Cowls out to lay flat. You can check out finished projects to see how others solved the curling issue. I personally prefer adding 4-5 rows of k1p1 or k2p2 ribbing at the beginning and end.
