This pattern makes a nice, thick, squishy, seed stitch washcloth. You’ll start with one solid color, add in a second color, switch to the second color alone, add in a third color, then finish off with third color alone. This makes a cool ombre fade effect on your washcloth.

This is the same technique you use when blending paint. So it’s like you’re painting with yarn!

The colors fade into each other best if they are of similar tone and shade.

You’ll only need small amounts of each color so this is great for stash busting. Just make sure you have a skein you can pull from the inside and the outside, or you have 2 separate skeins, or you pull some off the skein to make a second ball of yarn before you start knitting to use as the second strand.

Happy knitting!
