This pattern is one of a collection of patterns being released in anticipation of Unwind Brighton 2014.

The touch of fresh breeze caressing your skin… the hardness of pebbles under your feet… the blue Garter sea and white lacy foam… the old wooden pier and you know you’re there… welcome to Brighton.
This lightweight shawlette has everything a perfect shawl should have: easy stitches creating a beautiful fabric, a little bit of lace that makes it girly and a very wearable shape.
Make it, wear it, not only when you’re in Brighton!

Size
One size: approx. 122.5 cm/48” wide and 42.5 cm/17” high at center.

Yarn
MC: approx 384m/420y; CC: approx 165m/180y of any fingering weight yarn, which gives you the correct gauge.
Sample was made in Tanis Fiber Arts Blue Label Fingering Weight: colorway “Lotus” as MC and Garnstudio DROPS BabyAlpaca Silk: colorway 1306 as CC.

Needles
4.5 mm/US #7 circular needle (80 cm/32” long).
5.0 mm/US #8 circular needle (80 cm/32” long).

Other
6 stitch markers (3 markers A, 3 markers B), tapestry needle for weaving.

Gauge
20 sts and 28 rows = 10 cm/4” in Garter st with needle 4.5 mm/US #7 measured flat after wet blocking.
The gauge isn’t crucial on this project, but differences will affect the finished size as well as the required yardage.
