Two methods will be given to begin this Top. One will use the foundation single crochet described in the Special Stitches; the other will use the traditional chain and first row of single crochet. After this first foundation rowm the instructions will be the same.

Finished Garment Measurements: 36 3/4 inches (small) (40 inches (medium), 46 inches (large), 48 inches (X-large), 53 inches (2X-large))

Materials

  • Brown Sheep Cotton Fleece medium worsted weight yarn (3.5 oz./215 yards/100 g per skein): 4(4,5,6,7) #CW765 blue paradise OR Lion Brand Cotton-Ease cotton/acrylic (3.5 oz./207 yds/100 g per skein): 5(6,6,7,8) in color of choice OR Red Heart Eco-cotton Blend cotton/acrylic (3 oz./145 yds/85 g skein): 6(7,8,9,11) color of choice
  • Size crochet hook needed for garment size or size needed to obtain gauge Tapestry needleStitch markers

Gauge:
Small and Medium Sizes: Size H/8/5 mm crochet hook: 12 dc= 4.25 inches; 3 dc rows = 2 inches

Large, X-Large & 2X-Large Sizes: Size I/9/5.5 mm crochet hook: 5 dc = 2 inches; 10 dc rows = 7 inches
