This is a pattern for a knit shawl that features two lace (and cable-lace) stitches that come to us from Japan. The focal stitch is an intricate and unique cable lace stitch that makes quite a statement. The border stitches are also unique, but quite a bit easier to knit. Combined, they make a one of a kind shawl, quickly becoming an heirloom.

Skill Level: Intermediate+ (assuming a basic knowledge of cable-lace knitting).

The two stitches are both charted and written out line by line. There are also instructions contained within the pattern for an optional crocheted edging.

The wrap was expertly pattern tested by Page Zelasko, who can be contacted at: izazbz @yahoo.com, and it was knit using Handmaiden’s Casbah in colorway, Jade.
