This simple pattern for a top down raglan pullover is the perfect blank canvas for your own one of a kind striped sweater using self striping yarn. Use the colors however you want – change colors as you wish, omitting whatever shades you choose. You’ll be amazed how well ALL the colors go together, no matter how you combine them! Two sweaters knit from the same colors will be completely different depending on how the colors are used.

Weave in ends as you go, or spit-splice, to make finishing a less daunting task once the knitting is complete. Or just knot the colors together and let the ends hang out on the inside of your sweater - no one will know unless you tell them!

Change colors randomly as you wish throughout the sweater. If you change from one ball to the next at a similar color, your stripes will flow seamlessly and you won’t be able to tell where the color was changed.
