I designed this medium weight shawl to be worn in the cool days and evenings of both spring and fall. This year, our summer has been so cool in Upstate New York, I have worn this shawl during July and August.

Knit on size U.S. 8 circular needles using a DK weight yarn, it is fairly quick to knit and I found it enjoyable. The fringe is optional, but personally I love the fringe quite well.

The colors remind me of the wet sand and dark waters of Lake Ontario during the cooler months. I think this is a romantic shawl, and I feel very special when I wear mine.

The main lace stitch pattern has a very nice texture, even after blocking. This adds warmth as well as nice visual interest.
