I made this pattern in fingering weight when baby was 3 months old. At 6 months old I made same pattern in sport weight with looser gauge, then at a year old I made it in DK weight at 22 st per 4 inches. He wore it and it still fit him at 18 months.

I’m working on translating this pattern to hand knit, but for now it’s in machine knit. I used a mid gauge machine with g-carriage for the ribs but you could use a ribber or hand knit the ribs.
