This is my first pattern- I’m very excited.

I used international crochet symbols extensively as well as simplified diagrams and listed instructions. I included complete step-by-step diagrams on each required stitch as well so that the pattern would be accessible for beginners. Feel free to try it out and tell me what you think!

Pattern is also available to download on my website.

I invented a stitch for this sweater which I am calling the asterisk stitch (see last photograph), and instructions for it are provided as part of the pattern but can also be found as a video tutorial here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wvOQDJMhoGA

Don’t freak out that it is 30 pages long! Only 10 pages are the actual pattern, the rest is intro/requirement stuff and stitch instructions.

Oh, and hey- it’s a really nice sweater. I guess I should tell you actually relevant things now…

Size 5 hook, ~900yd/835m of worsted weight yarn, one color.
Uses chain stitch, treble stitch, slip stitch, and asterisk stitch. Instructions for all of them are included.

Don’t shrink to printable margins if/when you print it- I worked inside the printable page.
