The mitten is made with the colors so you can see where you join the thumb and top to it. It can be solid or in varigated colors and do the stripes as depicted. This design was done when there were NO crochet patterns available for the flip top that knitting had many of. I had to make contrasting colors for the image to be better.

Have some variations coming, they are in note form and have to crochet them up still…
