This pattern makes a thick and interesting circle scarf. I modified the classic open work technique to make varying X open cable patterns. Knitting these cables can be slow goings at first, but once you get a hang of what feels good for you, it should go quicker.

Supplies:
• 40” US 8 circular needles
• Worsted Weight yarn
• Cable Needle
• Stich marker
• About 300 or more yards worsted weight yarn

I used 40 inch turbo stainless steel needles. These are good if you are using particularly delicate yarn (like the vintage dazzelaire from the thrift store, which is pretty delicate, let me tell you what).

You can use any worsted weight yarn, but the softer the better! I think this pattern also does really well with color changing yarns because the X’s show off the colors.

Also, sorry for the selfies! The woes of not having roommates to take your picture!
