This pattern is part of my Hanging Rock Designs Vol.1 ebook which features three patterns (two knit and one crochet).

These socks are made using a vintage twisted rib pattern and are knit over 60 stitches to incorporate the pattern.

Because I usually knit a 64 stitch sock for my size 39 feet I used 2.5mm needles and they fit perfectly. You can of course use 2.25mm needles if you have smaller feet.

They are top down with a traditional heel flap and gusset, although any heel can be used, and I write my patterns for the magic loop method of sock construction.

I made two pairs; tonal using Socks Yeah! in Ammolite and speckled using Cosmic Strings in Peony. I think the pattern works best with a solid or tonal colour but of course it’s entirely up to you.

The pattern has been professionally tech edited.
