Openwork scarves use a simple lace stitch on every row. This produces a lovely open and airy scarf with exceptional drape. It requires less yardage than one would expect making it perfect for those wonderful balls we pick up on sale or that remain from another project.

Don’t forget, gauge and size are not critical for these pieces. But make a gauge swatch if you want an exact size.

Small Scarf - A small scarf uses the least amount of yarn and is an accent piece
Size: 7” x 60” Can be knit in fine, light or medium weight yarn.

Large Scarf - Thicker yarn and more stitches make a more generous scarf - a bit wider and longer. we’re talking drama here.
Size: 9” x 70” Can be knit in medium or bulky weight yarn

Wrap - Even more stitches produce a piece that can be scrunched around the neck like a scarf or draped over the shoulder as a wrap. Who doesn’t like flexibility?
Size: 18” x 80” Can be knit in medium or bulky weight yarn.
