Amaze your eyes! This cap design uses colored rectangles to create the optical illusion of rounded ovals. The design only looks complicated – pattern includes easy instructions to create the optical illusion.
Can be made in any sock yarn. You need about 28g of each of 2 colors. To create the illusion, you need to choose a yarn that is not fuzzy, to get crisp edges on your color blocks. You should choose colors that contrast with each other to show off the design.
Fit is a little slouchy on top.
The pattern is the same for both sizes. Smaller size uses 0s and 1s; larger size uses 1s and 2s.
