SMALL PHONE CASE: Slightly stretchy case in three sizes for extra small (XS), small (S) and medium (M) mobile phone (cell phone), knitted in 4-ply on 4 dpns, 2 circulars or two straight needles. Separate patterns for knitting in the round or flat. The bubble stitch pattern means there are no floats inside for the phone to catch on.

The stitch pattern can be knitted in 3 colours, although it would work in one colour, in many colours or in a multicoloured yarn with a plain one.

The three-coloured sample in Wollmeise twin sock yarn called for approx 10-16 yards or 12-15 metres of each of three colours.

The pattern includes both a chart and written instructions for the stitch pattern. It includes separate patterns for knitting the case seamlessly in the round (4 dpns or 2 circulars) or flat and seamed (two straight needles).

Note: the bubble-stitch pattern (not bObble stitch!) is easy once you get the hang of it, but can be awkward and irritating at first. This is a pattern for people who love a challenge with new stitches. Once you’ve achieved it, you get a pretty stitch with no floats on the inside, and a great sense of achievement.
