Named after decorative masonry construction from Roman times, Opus Spicatum is a stranded colorwork beret knit using just 1 skein each of two colors of Road to China Worsted. An easy to memorize pattern paired with integrated color work decreases at the crown, it is sure to be a luxurious and enjoyable knit.

YARN: The Fibre Co. Road to China (65% baby alpaca, 15% silk, 10% camel, 10% cashmere; 69 yds/50 gm skein): sapphire (MC), blue tourmaline (CC), 1 skein each.
GAUGE: 19 sts + 23 rows = 4” (10 cm) in Herringbone patt on larger ndls.
NEEDLES: 1 - 16” US 9 (5.5 mm) circular + set dpns, 1 - 16” US 6 (4 mm) circ. needles.
SIZE: 19” brim circumference, 8.5” height.
