First introduced in the fifth film, the Order of the Phoenix is a group of skilled witches and wizards dedicated to fighting Lord Voldemort. The Order is named after the magical bird that bursts into flame at the end of its life and is reborn from the ashes. In the films, phoenixes are commonly associated with Professor Dumbledore, who is the founder of the Order and has a phoenix called Fawkes for a companion.

Knit in fiery orange-red yarn, this blanket celebrates the Order of the Phoenix and its spectacular winged namesake. Worked in the round from the center out beginning with a circular cast on, this blanket grows outward rapidly. The inner medallion motif creates small flames, followed by “The Order of the Phoenix” spelled out in lace letters. Gorgeous phoenix feathers fan out in multiple tiers, and the bind off creates a scalloped edge. Want a bigger or smaller blanket? A heavier or lighter weight of yarn and corresponding needles make the size easy to adjust.
