The gloves are an ‘inspired by’, inspired by the muffatees worn by dwarf Ori in ‘The Hobbit’ movie. The originals are knitted in chunky, and so rather different. I wanted to use DK, as I didn’t want them to look so chunky.

I used Brigantia DK in grey, but any solid grey DK would work. They would be especially nice in Shetland wool, or any natural grey handspun so long as you go for something with a soft handle. Using 1 skein of Brigantia, I probably had enough left over to knit a second pair.
