I’m lazy when it comes to making baby booties. I don’t like
fussing with tiny hooks, thin yarn and lots of turns and decreases. I also don’t feel comfortable using buttons. So I thought of how I could make a baby bootie using 1 strip of crochet fabric and came up with these little gems. The nice part is I used left over sock yarn!

I named them Origami booties because making them involves folding the strip in such a way that the bootie and sole are created at the same time. To complete; either seaming the edges with a darning needle or single crochet around the edges works equally well. Enjoy!

As an added bonus, there are instructions for creating duckie booties as well!
