Orlets Pullover is oversized cozy sweater design, generously supported by Universal Yarns, and edited by Tian Connaughton, who patiently held my writing hand through the process of recalculations and polishing off my pattern.
ORLETS is the Russian name for Rhodonite mineral. The meaning of this word is “belonging to eagle”. People who live in Ural Mountains quite often find these pink stones in the eagle nests. That is how this name was born.
Design construction: the body is worked flat in pieces, then sewn at shoulders. Sleeves and pockets are worked from picked up stitches flat, and then seamed. Collar is worked in the round from picked up stitches up.
The combination of three different Rib stitch pattern, comfortable fit and look, embracing collar and hidden in the side seams pockets are the features of Orlets Pullover. It could be styled with lace skirt and high heal boots, or your favorite jeans and sneakers, depending on your daily activity or evening plans.
