The name and the inspiration for this cowl came from the names of colorways created by 2 amazing local dyers: Liz of Gnarled Paw, and Karin of Periwinkle Sheep. The pairing of Oswald Orange with Ghost of Molly creates a subtle contrast in both the stranded colorwork and the lace pattern blocks.

While the yarns used here are both sport weight, this design is easily adapted to fingering weight – 2 options for this are given at the end, in order to take advantage of the additional yardage.

This cowl/infinity scarf is knit in a tube, starting with a provisional cast-on, & joined at the end with a 3-needle bindoff. Instructions & links for the provisional cast on, jogless stripes, & 3-needle bind off. are included.

Substituting fingering weight yarn in this pattern will result in a slightly narrower, but longer scarf - approx. 6” wide x 65” around, if you use 2 full skeins.
