Otis is a companion pattern to the much-loved and iconic Milo. Just like Milo, Otis is knit from the top-down using simple increases to shape the raglan yoke. Otis is for all those who wanted a flat-knit Milo. Otis is for all those who wanted a buttoned Milo. Otis is deliberately a blank canvas with attention paid to clever finishing details. Instructions included for personalising your Otis so it becomes as much a loved pattern as Milo.

RELEASE DISCOUNT: Until November 16 (Australian Eastern Daylight Savings Time), Otis is discounted by 50% if you have previously purchased Milo through Ravelry, or if you purchase Milo and Otis together. Discount automatically applied at checkout.

Construction:
Otis is constructed from the top down, beginning with the neckline and uses raglan shaping to shape the armholes and yoke.

The shoulder straps are created by casting off stitches. The body is then knit flat with an integrated button band worked at the same time. Finishing details included to ensure the button band doesn’t flip inwards.

Sizing:

Please allow extra yardage of approximately 5% for each size if you are adding length. Yardage may vary depending on variations made to the vest.

Original yarn is a worsted spun organic merino with a 4ply structure.

Samples shown in a variety of yarns. When substituting, the pattern is very forgiving but a wool-based yarn is recommended to provide some elasticity and memory through the yoke section.
