Recently someone shared a story with me about their parents and the first Christmas ornament they ever had as a couple. The ornament included two doves. It reminded me of one of the first ornaments my husband and I had where two doves were on top of a heart. We still have that ornament over 34 years of marriage later.

Doves…hearts…first Christmases…. that’s what the stocking is all about.

This pattern is an intermediate level pattern. There are ten (10) rows that require carrying three (3) strands of yarn at the same time. If you do not wish to carry three strands you could use duplicate stitch. Instructions for duplicate stitch have been included.

Warning! There are long yarn floats in this stocking. Be sure to review ways to handle long floats so that you are comfortable working with this pattern.
