Our Time to Shine Shawl is a gorgeous, spring or summer fashion accessory! It’s easy enough for a beginner to make, and is a fabulous travel project! Worked in GORGEOUS Crystal Palace Yarns Danube DK, a cotton blend yarn, it’s a fabulous project to work on when the weather turns hotter!

The shape is a BIG, shallow crescent - starting at the top, the sample used every inch of five full skeins of Danube yarn and light blocking, my shawl measures 20” deep by 80” across - and I easily could have made it 90” with a bit more blocking.

Stitches used are single crochet, double crochet, shells and V-stitches. Pattern is rated advanced beginner. Shawl can easily be made to other sizes, using any weight of yarn, any size hook and any gauge. Be aware, however, that this shape does use a LOT of yarn - for a full sized shawl, plan on at least 600 yards of DK or sport weight yarn.
