Outbound is a set of simple mittens with seed stitch bands that veer off across the back of the hands. Worked from the cuff up in Aran weight yarn, these cozy mittens are a quick, easy knit that will hold your interest both on and off the needles.

Suitable for the advanced beginner.

YARN

  • 1 (2, 2) skeins Vijay Fibers “Aria,” 100g/128 yds, 100% silk Shown in color Polar or
  • 120 (150, 180) yds / 110 (137, 165)m Aran weight yarn

NEEDLES & NOTIONS

  • US 9 (5.5mm) needles
  • US 10 (6mm)
  • stitch markers (4)
  • tapestry needle
  • waste yarn Double-pointed, 32” (80cm) circulars or two shorter circulars, as preferred, to work in the round.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS

  • Hand circumference: 7 (7½, 8)” / 17.8 (19, 20.3)cm

GAUGE
