If you enjoyed the Outlander series then you must have noticed and fell in love with the wonderful pieces of knitwear worn by some of the female cast members. This oversized cowl pattern is just a guideline for my interpretation of the cowl seen and worn by the character Claire Beauchamp.
This easy knit cowl pattern is just what you need for your next project. Not only is it extremely portable, but the garter stitch features only one type of stitch, the knit stitch, making it completely beginner friendly. This also means that this accessory can be completed in a weekend or even just a few hours. Make one for yourself and a few for your friends in their favourite colours. I knit this cowl with 4 strands of yarn held together throughout. Of the 2 skeins of yarn I used, there was yarn left over. Gauge is not important. Enjoy!
