The Over Easy Egg Cosy pattern was originally written for children who had just started to use patterns, but is a quick make for anyone who has just started learning to crochet.

The pattern produces an egg cosy that is 7.5cm wide and 8cm tall. The finished item looks like a bag, but the bottom is open as in most egg cosy’s.

Any double knit yarns will work and you only need a small amount. The pattern uses half treble crochet and double crochet (half double crochet and single crochet. US terms).

The pattern is written in UK terms but I have now added the pattern in US terms at the end of the same pdf.
