These adorable quick-to-knit stocking-socks are cozy and not as easy to kick off as regular booties.

The pattern includes 3 variations for the pattern on the front of the stocking-sock and uses short-row shaping for the kneepad and heel. The garter stitch kneepad provides some extra cushioning for those speedy crawlers! The yarn is a wonderfully soft acrylic that is machine washable (and dryable if required).

Both written instructions and charts for the front pattern stitches are included.

Method: knit in the round on 3 double-pointed needles; knit top (cuff) down; no seaming; toe may be grafted (Kitchener stitch) or finished with a 3-needle bind-off

Skills: knit, purl, k2tog, work short rows, twist stitches, ssk, grafting {optional} or 3-needle bind-off, knit in the round, knit through back of loop, yarn over

The Braids and Beads Rib stitch pattern, shown in yellow, is from Annie Maloney’sThe Knitter’s Guide to Stitch Design
