This pattern came about as a cloth needed for a monthly dishcloth swap. I like to use dishcloths as a way to experiment and play around with stitches to see how they will look. It’s a fairly quick knit for a textured cloth (so it isn’t too boring to knit).
When I was making this, everyone online was posting pictures of their beautiful green lawns and beginnings of summer, while I was in the midst of a week of fog and rain, hence the Overcast Dishcloth name and choice of color for the original one.
