The Overfall Beanie is a unisex, here modelled by my son. It’s given in two sizes, XS/S and M/L; sizing is achieved by using different size needles. Overfall Beanie is knitted from the top down with a loop cast-on. The cables start and end in a particular fashion. Both, the increases and decreases are explained with photo methods sections in the appendix.

Materials
2 balls Wolle Rödel Siena (100% superwash merino, 135 m (148 yds)/50 g).
Size XS/S: shade 9911 (dark red on title page), about 204 m (223 yds) used.
Size M/L: shade 9971 (lighter red first picture on page 3) about 225 m (246 yds) used.

Gauge
For size XS/S:
32 sts x 32 rounds = 10 cm2 (4”) in cable pattern (washed and slightly stretched).
22 sts x 32 rounds = 10 cm2 (4”) in stocking stitch.
For size M/L:
32 sts x 31 rounds = 10 cm2 (4”) in cable pattern (washed and slightly stretched).
20 sts x 31 rounds = 10 cm2 (4”) in stocking stitch.
