Ovis Socks

Knitting
August 2013
Fingering / 4 ply (14 wpi) ?
30 stitches and 33 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch
US 2 - 2.75 mm
US 3 - 3.25 mm
360 - 405 yards (329 - 370 m)
8 (8½, 9)" (20.5 [21.5, 23] cm) foot circumfer - ence, 8½" (21.5 cm) foot length from back of heel to tip of toe, and 8¼" (21 cm) height from bottom of heel to top of cuff

The heart-shaped motif of these socks echoes a traditional ram’s horn pattern with a contemporary twist. Using her free-sole method for toe-up socks, Anna Zilboorg has created a completely resoleable design using two colorways of yarn. Reversing the colors makes the socks fraternal.
